Though some of our sword photos show a black oxide finish or a patina on the blade, those photos are examples of some of the blades we have made. By default, most blades are made with a bare, shiny, satin steel finish, with just a few exceptions. Black oxide or patina are add-on options for many of the items we make, with the exception of our flat blades. Please message us if you want a black oxide or a patina finish on your blade.

Important! Our Paladin bastard length swords now have a scallop on either side of the blade, on the ricasso, as shown in the video and in some of the photos.

Since every weapon we make is hand crafted, details, such as color and style of handle wrap, are likely to vary somewhat from weapon to weapon, because of changes in leather color availability and which of our artisans does your wrap. Each piece we make is unique. Your item may not look exactly like the pictures.

We have not given permission to anybody else to sell our original designs or to use our photographs. Any other sellers using our photos of our original designs are misrepresenting their listings with photos they've stolen from our website. I am in the process of watermarking all of our photos and will be watermarking all photos we use for our listings going forward. We have been designing and handcrafting blades and other weapons for over 32 years. We have sold our works in person at Renaissance faires and other events for decades. We have also had a longtime Web presence with our Website, our Etsy store, and on most social media platforms. All Archangel Steel designs are designed and handcrafted by us and shipped from where we make them, in Detroit, Michigan. If a seller's listing, using our photos, states they are shipping from another country and not from Michigan, they do not sell our handcrafted weapons. We do also take commissions to design/make custom designs for our customers.

• I've set the ship date time for much longer than it typically takes us to ship. We generally ship within a week of the order being placed. The ship date setting is set long to allow for custom orders to be completed. We are very communicative, so feel free to message us for more specific estimate of your order ship date.

• Oh, and if you’re in southeastern Michigan, we can arrange for you to pick up your order for no cost, instead of shipping.
